Daily Report - 13 January 2016

End of Day Technical Analysis Report for:

GOLD, and SP500

► EUR/USD: today ends in a pin bar bouncing off the 50 sma and 1.0800 support. This does not bode well for our Short. The mid-Bollinger line is still acting as dynamic resistance which is a positive for us.
Technical Recommendation: We are Short.
                                                                 EURUSD - Daily

GBP/USD: a small inside candle today with a lower close. No evidence of this downtrend ending just yet. Next static support is at 1.4230.
Technical Recommendation: Further downside likely. 1.4230 next support.
                                                                 GBPUSD - Daily

► AUD/USD: the Aussie attempted a bounce but failed, meeting with selling at the 8 ema, forming a pin bar and a possible bearish Fakey. Price is now very likley to reach 0.6900 and possibly break support. Next support would be 0.6770 and 0.6350 below that.
Technical Recommendation: Look for a downside breakout.
                                                                 AUDUSD - Daily
                           Back to Top

► USDJPY: a small pin bar at 8 ema resistance. Price very likely now to go all the way down to the 116 area.
Technical Recommendation: Looking to Short.
                                                                 USDJPY - Daily

GOLD: we have been looking to go Long on a retracement to 1085-1090 area. Today price presented us with strong evidence of an upward rotation intraday in the lower time frames so we went Long at 1081.50. We were rewarded with an ensuing bounce. It is not too late to go Long even after today.
Technical Recommendation: We are Long. Position +120 pips in profit.
                                                               XAUUSD - Daily

► SP500: price collapsed once again as heavy selling came in at the 8 ema. Alas this means our Long was stopped out again. Starting to feel like the proverbial falling knife. 1870 is the next support.
Technical Recommendation: Stopped out. Re-assessing.
                                                               SP500 - Daily
